A scholarly glimpse from the library
Ground students in mathematics, physics and chemistry first; let their passions choose the applied field afterwards.
We should strive to inculcate in our children and students the sense and philosophy of foundational sciences such as mathematics, physics, chemistry. When their principles mature and their intellect and beliefs are solidified, let their inclinations, passions, the beats of their hearts and the maps of their neurons guide them toward their desires, whether it be sciences, engineering, medicine, computer science, politics, media, or any other applied field.
Systematic and structured thinking in the present and future cannot rely on concepts devoid of the foundations of natural sciences and their philosophies. I am certain that there is a missing link in the teaching of the humanities, which must be found through intellectual integration with the philosophy of natural sciences.
There is a vast difference between producing a university graduate as a mere employee and a graduate as a real creative scholar.
Frankly, we live in a world where specialisations are blurring their boundaries and merging under new frameworks and intersections. We must recognise this in our children while ceaselessly striving to attain our own fair share of these advancements.
